In order to establish the selection and construction of principles governing health education content, we analyzed proposed principles by considering the content of health education of the post-World War II period. As a result, it was determined that the following principles of construction are necessary for contemporary health education : 1. The value of health education must be recognized and acknowledged in order to modernize educational content. 2. In order to construct educational content, the structure of the content must be systematic and relevant. 3. Educational content must be rooted in growth, development and motivation. 4. Educational content must meet current scientific levels of accomplishment. 5. Educational content must balance “knowledge” and “execution”.
